G. PENCIL rites Wednesday

Funeral services for Gladys G. Pencil, 83, who died Sunday at Good Samaritan Home Keosauqua will be a 11 a.m. Wednsday at Raymond Funeral Home with Rev. Chrles Kaufman officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery, Ottumwa at 1 p.m.. A memoria
has been establised to Free Methodist Church. Friends may call at their convenience at the funerl home.

Mrs Pencil was born Sept. 7, 1902 in Van Buren County, the daughter of Emsley and Carrie GIBERSON CANADY and grew up in Van Buren county. She lived in Ottumwa, Pleasant Plain, and from 1967 to 1983 in Fairield, befor moving to the Good Samanitan Home. She married Mose L KIGLER Aug. 25, 1923. She married Charles Pencil July 3, 1954. He died in July, 1966. Twelve brothers and sister also precededd her in death.

Surviving are a son, E. G. KIGER Ottumwa a sister, Ella POPEJOY, Fairfield; three step-grandchildren several step-greatgrandchildren and two step-great great children

Mrs Pencil taught two years at a school near Glasgow, and managed th Betheny Home at Fairfield from May 10, 1967 to Dec. 8, 1977. She was member of Fairfleld Free Metodist Church and Rebekah Lodge.
