Abigail F. Hess, 76, of Clearfield R.D. 3 died Sunday, Jan. 2, in the Clearfield Hospital.
Born April 13, 1906, in Boggs Township, she was a daughter of William and Alice G. (Narehood) Flegal.
She was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, the "Class of Others" Sunday school class and the Clearfield American Legion Auxiliary.
She was married to Scott W. Hess, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, one brother and two infant brothers.
Mrs. Hess is survived by three sons, Mitchell of Glen Burnie, Md., Charles of Olanta and Richard of Alden, N.Y.; a daughter, Verna, at home; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc. with the Revs. Robert Ludowsky and Kenneth Pry officiating. Interment will follow in Crown Crest Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow from 3:30 to 9 p.m. and until the hour of services Wednesday.
