Savannah Coon, Sioux Falls, SD, died December 22, 2012, at her residence, as the result of a house fire that also claimed the lives of her siblings, Michael Hensley and Alivia Coon. She was 12.

Savannah was born on December 4, 2000, at Glens Falls, NY. She attended public schools where she was involved with softball, wrestling team, orchestra and band. A talented musician, Savannah played the violin, baritone, trombone, and guitar. At age 8, she moved to Sioux Falls with her family.

Blessed with an outgoing spirit, Savannah was very social. She loved meeting people and making new friends. This social drive led her to volunteer in a countless number of areas. She took pride in helping neighbors mow lawns, rake leaves, walk their dogs, shovel snow and put their groceries away. In her free time, she would go to Touchmark Waterford at All Saints and help the residents there. One of Savannah's hobbies was to take apart and rebuild bicycles.

When she wasn't at the YWCA as a part of "Girls on the Run" and "Girls on Track," Savannah kept busy biking, swimming or helping her grandmother with her cooking. She loved being busy with things to do. Savannah cherished life and truly loved and lived every minute of it. She was currently in the 6th grade at Patrick Henry Middle School.

Grateful for having shared her life are her parents, David and Rhiannon White; grandparents, Tom and Cindy Boggs, Jack and Christine Benoit; great-grandparents, Bob and Shirlene Eberhard, Ethel and Sterling Harrington; aunt, Shannon Coon; and cousins, Trevor, Gabriel and Tyler Hurlburt.

Funeral services for Savannah, Michael, and Alivia will begin 10:00 am Monday, December 31, 2012, at Celebrate Community Church, 1000 S. Sycamore Avenue. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation begins at 1:00 Sunday afternoon, with the family present from 2:00 to 4:00 pm Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, 507 S. Main Avenue.
