Born Aug. 20, 1944, in Jackson, Mich., to Edward E. and Roberta J. (Wotton) Bennett, she married Sherman G. Matheny on June 18, 1962, in Peoria.
He survives along with one daughter, Lisa A. (Russell) Sathoff of Glasford; and two sons, Jack A. Matheny of Pekin and Rick E. (Lisa) Matheny of Pekin. Also surviving are eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Naomi R. Smith of Pekin; and two brothers, Stan (Mary) Bennett of Marquette Heights and Vic F. (Jackie) Bennett of East Bethel, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant son, David Wayne Matheny.
Donna was a cashier in the Peoria area most of her life and was currently working at Ace Hardware in Washington.
She bowled on many Peoria bowling leagues, a lifetime member of the WIBC, a member of the 600 Club and a founding member of the Friday Night Winteretts League.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 8, 2006, at 10 a.m. at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. The Rev. Jim Gorby will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
