Dr. Arthur Anderson
Dr. Arthur A. Anderson, age 71, of Monticello, Indiana, died November 20, 1986, in White County Memorial Hospital. He became ill at his home one hour earlier.
Born September 4, 1915 in Monticello, he was a son of Dr. J.H.A. Anderson and Gladys A. Arrick Anderson. His marriage on August 1, 1941 was to Imogene Laizure who survives.
Dr. Anderson was a 1933 graduate of Monticello High School and received his doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Texas A & M University in 1945. He was a Second Lieutenant with the C Troop of the Calvary while at Texas A & M.
He practiced veterinary medicine in Monticello for 41 years and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Monticello; the Golden Honor Roll of American Veterinary Association and West Central Indiana Veterinary Medicine Association.
Surviving with the widow are three sons: Arthur A. Anderson, Jr. and Dr. Charles A Anderson, both of Monticello and Dr. Ralph R. Anderson of Logansport and one daughter Juanagene Nietert of Valparaiso; three brothers: Raymond "Red" Anderson of Monticello; Wayne C. Anderson of Route 1, Monticello; Dr. Robert H. Anderson of Lake Mills, Wisconsin; and seven sisters: Mabel L. Peck of San Antonio, Texas; W. Ruth Gunther of Solono Beach, California; Esther Gladys Brothers and Josephine E. Lotter, both of Monticello; Mary H. Tam of Wilmette, Illinois; Martha J. Wenz of Doraville, Georgia; and Lois A. Bridges of North Salem and also ten grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren.
Services were Monday in Monticello and burial was in Pleasant Run Cemetery in Carroll County, Indiana.
