The family lived for nearly 10 years in Lawrence, MA where Robin attended grammar school. They returned to Canaan and Robin graduated from Skowhegan Area High School, class of 1972. He worked for a time in Louisiana delivering supplies to oil rigs. Prior to his retirement in the last year, Robin worked for M.A. Haskell and Son's.
Robin loved camping, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He was a quiet, private man who took great joy in family gatherings, especially BBQ's.
He is survived by his companion, Ann Pallotta of Burnham; brother Wendall E. Nichols and his wife Patricia of Canaan; niece, Sandy Brown and companion Ray Judkins of Canaan; nephew, Dale Nichols and companion Jody Hunn of Augusta; niece, Melissa Withee and husband Gerald of Canaan; many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles and cousins out of state; and beloved dog, Zeplin
Robin was predeceased by his parents; brother, Jerry Nichols; and great nephew, Matthew Chamberlain.
