WELLS — Long-time farmer Louis Groskreutz, 87, of Wells died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1883, at Naeve Parkview Home of Wells.
Services were 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Wells, the Rev. Ray Arveson officiating.
Burial was in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Vivian Township, Waseca County.
Visitation was 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells and one hour before services Tuesday at the church.
Mr. Groskreutz was born Sept. 20, 1906 to Otto and Emma (Putz) Groskreutz in Vivian Township, Waseca County. He attended country school in Vivian Township and two years of German school. He married Anna J. Fogal on Dec. 16, 1926, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Mr. Groskreutz is survived by one son and his wife, Alvin and Shirley Groskreutz of Waldorf; two daughters and their husbands, Adeline and Arvel Buss of Elysian and Leona and Keith Quast of Waterville; four grandchildren; two great granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1990, two brothers, one sister, one son in infancy and three grandchildren.
