Treasurer of the Household of Henry VI. Treasurer of Calais, 1450–1460.

Gervase fought for Margaret of Anjou and the Lancastrian cause in the Wars of the Roses, and was captured at the Battle of Tewkesbury, declared a traitor and was hung in the Tewkesbury market place along with other Lancastrian leaders.
