CLYDE — Floyd L. Guice, 79, died Sunday at an Abilene care center.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Joplin officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene, directed by Bailey Funeral Home.

Mr. Guice was born in Eden and grew up and attended school at Doole. He attended Tarleton State University and Pierce College in Canoga Park, Calif. He was an inspector for Bendix Corporation (later Allied Signal Corporation) from 1961 until retiring in 1983. He moved to Clyde from Abilene in 1983. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a member of First Baptist Church. He married Annie Lee Baumgartner in 1973 in Van Nuys, Calif.

Survivors include his wife, of Clyde; one son, John Leslie Guice of Dallas; one stepson, Edward Francis Baumgartner of Recita, Calif.; one daughter, Jody Patterson of Rusk; one stepdaughter, Mareth Anne Watters of Palmdale, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home from 6-7:30 p.m. today.
