Mrs. L.B. Rich, 49, Former Co. Resident, Dies at Rotan Hosp.
Mrs. Lydia May Rich, 49, wife of a Dowell Community farmer, died Friday, November 9, in Carvin Hospital of Rotan of cancer after a year's illness.

Funeral services were held at the Afton Methodist Church at 3 p.m. Saturday, with Rev. Floyd Stickland, pastor of the Dowell Community Baptist Church officiating.

She was born Lydia May Bradford, May 3, 1902, in Dickens County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clad Bradford. She was married in Dickens County to J.B. Rich on December 1, 1923. The couple had been farming in Dowell community since 1946.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, three daughters.

Also surviving are four grandchildren, two brothers, and seven sisters.
