Patsy (Farris) Armstrong, 88, of West, passed away early Tuesday morning, December 11, 2012, at West Rest Haven. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, at Aderhold Funeral Home in West, with Dr. John Crowder officiating. Burial will be at Waco Memorial Park.
Patsy was born in Waco, Texas, to the late T. M. "Bud" Farris and Jessie (Littleton) Farris. She attended North Waco Elementary, North Waco Jr. High School, and graduated from Waco High School in 1941.
On June 13, 1964, she was united in marriage to Frank Armstrong in West. She worked for Jacobs Cathey Air Conditioning in Waco for many years and West Independent School District as Secretary until her retirement in 1986. Patsy was a member of the First Baptist Church of West. She enjoyed playing Bridge and 42, shopping at Wal-Mart, and going on the boats to Shreveport. She and Frank enjoyed traveling to many places with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, on July 5, 2009; and brother, Thad Farris.
Survivors include daughters, Janice Fulp and her husband, Larry, of Burleson, and Lisa Pareya, of Hot Springs, Arkansas; sister, Jane Crutcher, of Georgetown; grandchildren, Denise Contella and her husband, Philip, Mark Fulp and his wife, Kim, Julie Pareya, and Jessica Pareya; great-grandchildren: Brittney Viers, Kayla Viers, and Hayden Fulp; a great-great-granddaughter, Kinsley; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
