Funeral services were held Friday in Oklahoma City for Daniel Morton Welch, a former Antlers resident who died there last Tuesday at the age of 73.
Welch was born January 8, 1906 in Talihina, Indian Territory. He moved with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Welch, in 1912 and graduated from high school there.
He was a member of the Oklahoma County, state, and American bar associations and was a veteran of World War Two. Welch was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jan Highley Welch of the home; two sisters Mable Welch Amend and Ruth Welch Smith, both of Oklahoma City; two step sons, Dr. Mont Highley, Montgomery, Alabama and Dan Highley, Dallas, Texas; five step grandchildren and 19 nieces and nephews.
Interment was in Hugo Saturday.
