EMANUEL NELSON

Very early on Tuesday morning, Emanuel Nelson passed away at his home on River Street after an illness which had been increasingly severe since last Christmas. The tragedy of the death, by electrocution, of his youngest son, Dwight, in June, had been a heavy shock to him, from which he had never recovered. He was 82 years old.

Mr. Nelson's long life was rich and eventful, and we hope in next week's issue to pay tribute to his memory with a full account of his many activities. Most of his life had been spent in Bracebridge.

He is survived by Mrs. Nelson, two daughters, Onetta (Mrs. Harry Short) of Miami, who has been home through the summer, and Leola (Mrs. Leslie Hart), of Bracebridge; and three sons, Edwin and Glenwood, of Goderich, and Emanuel, of Nobel. One son, Dwight, predeceased him on June 23rd of this year.

Deep sympathy is felt for the family, who have suffered a second severe loss in such a short time.

The funeral will be held on Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.
