SMITHSBURG - Mildred Marie Rohrer, 75, of 23525 Leathers Road, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 1996, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Oct. 29, 1921, in Pinesburg, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Ginny Hose Guessford.
She was previously employed with L'Aiglon and Dorbee Manufacturing.
She was a member of Blue Mountain Church of God.
She also was a member of AARP.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Joseph Leo Rohrer; two sons, Joseph L. Rohrer of Hedgesville, W.Va., and David Guessford of Hagerstown; two sisters, Hazel Swope of Smithsburg, and Jean McClanahan of Hagerstown; one brother, Joseph Guessford of Williamsport; four grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Francis McElroy; two brothers, David Guessford and Richard Guessford; two half sisters, Helen Hyde and Sis Bragunier; and one half brother, Paul Guessford.
Services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Louis L. Emerick will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
