VICTORIA - Anna Louise Gildon, 80 of Victoria passed away on July 31, 2015. She was born in Cuero, TX on September 26, 1934 to Thomas Eldridge and Rosetta Lindsey Nelson. Mrs. Gildon was employed for 22 years as in the food services department of VISD, she was also a very active member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church and Eastern Star. Sharing her love of children, Anna served as a mother to many children outside her immediate family.
Survivors include her daughter, Rose Ward of Lake Jackson; sons, Michael E. Gildon of Fairfield, CA, Lynn Robert Gildon of Victoria, Anthony J. Gildon of Victoria, Dennis R. Gildon of Victoria; 17 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gildon is preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Gildon in 2002.
Visitation will be 6-8 PM on Friday, August 7, 2015 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Funeral services will be 10 AM on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Hobbs officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
