When Harold Levant Baker was born in 1899 his father, Wallace Winfield Baker was 23 and his mother, Permelia Rosemand Williams, was 19. He married Bessie Leona Hayes in Rigby, Idaho October 21, 1927. They had one son. Divorced. At the time of his death at the VA Hospital in Boise, Idaho, Harold was farming in the Ashton area.

A tall slender build nineteen-year-old farm laborer, Harold registered for the draft in 1918. He was described as having light hair and gray eyes.

Bessie Leona Hayes was born in Grace, Bannock, Idaho March 24, 1911, the daughter of Richard Henry Hayes and Susannah Black. She died in Denver, Denver, Colorado January 13, 1956
