Marion Anderson TIMMONSVILLE-Marion Elizabeth Hill Anderson, 88, died at the McLeod Hospice House Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012. Graveside services will be Thursday, Dec 6, 2012 at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be today (Wednesday) from 6 to 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Anderson was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late J. Foster and Annie Oliver Hill. She was a member Sardis Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Sardis High School. She was married to the late Roy C. Anderson who was a World War II veteran. Survivors are a brother, James R. (Evelyn) Hill, Timmonsville; two sisters, Emma Skinner, Florence, Rebecca (Harry) Kirby, Timmonsville; seven nephews and five nieces and a number of great nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by a sister Violet Knight. Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, 4210 W. Palmetto St. Florence is assisting the family with arrangements.
