Mrs. Lewis E. Hanmer, mother of chief of police Charles G. Hanmer of Corning, died at her home in Tyrone at 5 o'clock this morning after a two weeks illness. She had been suffering from a severe cold on the lungs but her condition up until yesterday was thought to be considerably improved. Death is attributed to heart trouble.
Mrs. Hanmers maiden name was Jennie Perry. She was born in Tyrone 76 years ago. The daughter of Thomas Perry of that place. She was a member of the Tyrone Methodist church. She was much beloved in the community where she resided. She had planned to remove with Mr. Hanmer to Addison where they were to; make their home with their daughter, Mrs Wood Howell.
Mrs. Hanmer was the last survivor of a considerable family of children of Thomas Perry she is survived besides her husband, who has also been Ill, by the one son mentioned and by the daughter. Mrs. Howell.
The funeral arrangements are incomplete.
