John Perry, an aged and highly esteemed citizen of this place, died on Monday at one P.M.. Mr. Perry has been in feeble health for some time although able to be out on the streets until Sunday evening. He was found at his home early Monday morning by a relative stricken with paralysis. Since the death of his daughter last fall he has lived alone, against the wishes of of his relatives. He was born in the state of New York. One daughter, Mrs. Abbie Doll, of Indianapolis, survives him, also a number of grand-children and great grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon by Rev. C. Holmes, of the Baptist Church. Interment in Vernon Cemetery.
