Alma Green the daughter of George W. and Marcella Bradshaw Green was born September 5, 1901, departed this life June 17, 1927, at the age of 25 years 9 months and 12 days. She was married to Fred Finch September 24, 1923. To this union were born three children Bobbie, James and Richard, all of whom survive their darling mother.

She was converted about eight years ago and united with the Crossville M. E. church under the ministry of Rev. George Hall and lived a true Christian life until death relieved her suffering.

She leaves a husband, three children, father and mother, one brother, four sisters and a host of friends to mourn her departure.

At her request the funeral was held under a large shade tree in the yard Sunday morning, June 19th at 10 o'clock conducted by the Rev. W.C. Arnold. Interment was made at stokes Chapel Cemetery.

Pall bearers were Madame’s Opal Given, Wendall Brown, Seigal Martirn Raymond Hawkman, Wheeler Thompson and Shelley Smith. Those in charge of the flowers were Ethel Prince, Margaret Stanley, Maxine Graham, Vondalee Marshall, Wanda Higginson, Wllema Higginson, Cleda Fern Marshall and Earnestine Staley.
