He was born June 14, 1922 in Carmi, the son of Fred C. and Alma (Green) Finch. He was married Nov. 22, 1945 to Doris Louella Cagle, who survives.
Mr. Finch was a U.S. Navy Seabees veteran of World War II. He was a farmer and worked for Wabash Valley Service Co. He was a member of the Emmanuel Methodist Church, The Veterans of Foreign Wars, The American Legion and the Farm Bureau.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Doris Finch of Carmi; a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and John Talbott of San Diego, CA; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Keith Finch of Ft. Myers, FL and Jerry and Anita Finch of Seattle, WA.; four grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, James "Bud" Finch and Richard "Salty" Finch.
There will be no services or visitation. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of the arrangements.
