Hardware Dealer and Former Livestock Raiser Is Heart Attack Victim.

William N. Osborn, age 72 years, well known in La Porte and Porter counties, died suddenly this morning at his home in Wanatah. Death is believed to have been due to a heart attack.

His early life was spent in farming in the Wanatah vicinity. For many years he was a raiser of fancy Holstein cattle and Poland China hogs, and held many big auctions of livestock.
In 1913 he moved to Wanatah, and three years later disposed of his farming interests. In 1924 he embarked in the hardware business in Wanatah, and was engaged in this business at the time of his death.
He was active in the work of the Wanatah Christian church, having been baptized into the church on Jan. 6, 1891.
On March 20, 1889, he was united in marriage to Cora A. Goodwin, of near Wanatah. Last March the couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.

Memorial services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the home and at 2 p.m. at the Wanatah Christian church, conducted by Rev. Thomas, of Valparaiso. Burial will be in Westville cemetery, with H. A. Boehlke of Wanatah, in charge.
