WANATAH -- Mrs. William (Ethel) Fryar, 82, a retired hardware store owner-operator, died today in her home after a short illness.
Born in Wanatah Dec. 14, 1897, she was the daughter of William and Cora (Goodwin) Osborn. She was married to William Fryar on March 27, 1918.
She was a member of Wanatah Christian Church and Missionary Society.
Surviving are her husband; three sons, Robert of Westville and Ken and Gene of Michigan City; a brother, Lee of Pierceton; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Christian Church. The Rev. Ed Smith will officiate, and burial will be in Westville Cemetery. Visitation is at Peek Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and at the church after 8 a.m. Thursday.
