Dorothy married Daniel James Arnold on October 3, 1936 in Crockett. They were the parents of one son, James Robert (Butch) Arnold born November 22, 1940 in Crockett.

Dorothy graduated from Crockett High School in 1934 and attended Draughns Business College in Dallas. On October 3, 1936, Dorothy married James Daniel (Jim) Arnold in the First Methodist Church Parsonage in Crockett, Texas where her parents were married in 1914.

At the age of 11, Dorothy became a Christian at a Protracted Revival Meeting in Latexo and attended the Methodist church until 1934 when she became a beloved and faithful member of First Baptist Church, Crockett. Dorothy served the church in many capacities throughout her adult life and made the statement many times that she “loved all her pastors” through the years. Dorothy was a member of the Eastern Star and the Major Jarrell Beasley Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution. Dorothy had many friends that she loved to travel and play bridge with.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents, sisters Mae Porter, Nan Lasater, Pauline McClain; brothers Belmont Westbrook and R.L. Westbrook.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Lee Westbrook Arnold will be held Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, Crockett with the Rev. Keeney Dickenson officiating. Interment will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Crockett, Texas.
