George Abouanni age 27, of Circular Ave. Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly after sustaining injuries from a motor vehicle accident on November 24th 2012.
George was born June 22nd 1985 in Lebanon, the beloved son of Nicholas and Hayat (Antoun) Abouanni of Waterbury. George emigrated to the United States with his family at the age of three and was a graduate of Crosby High School class of 2004. He worked in the shipping and receiving department for G.I.& J Produce in New Haven for the past several years and was looking forward to the anticipated birth of his son. He was a member of the EHDEN Lebanese American Club and a parishioner of Our Lady of Lebanon Church. George was a devoted Dallas Cowboy fan and enjoyed playing and watching football, he also enjoyed being the family handy man and was always willing to help friends or family members with projects of any size.
Besides his parents, George is survived by his sister, Jessica Abouanni of Waterbury, and his fiancé Yvelisse Echevarria., as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Waterbury man dies in 1-691 crash

A 27-year-old Waterbury man died in a crash on I-691 Saturday after he lost control of a Mitsubishi Galant and struck a rock embankment, according to state police. About 2:15 p.m., George Abouanni, of 182 Circular Ave., was driving westbound near Exit 4 when his car veered across the highway and struck the rock wall, police said. The vehicle was then struck by a Honda CR-V.
