Joan E. Dodson, 48, of Lower Windsor Township, Wrightsville, died at 12:48 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Donald L. Dodson. The couple observed their 31st wedding anniversary July 8.
The service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Calvary Bible Church, 125 Calvary Church Road, Wrightsville. Burial will be in Highmount Cemetery. There will be no viewing. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church. The Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St., York, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Dodson was born Oct. 6, 1950, in Dallastown. She was the daughter of Margaret (Weimert) Corey of York, and the late John Minnich Geesey.
She was a secretary at Coca-Cola Co. in York. She was a 1968 graduate of Dallastown High School.
Mrs. Dodson also is survived by a son, Michael A. Dodson of Blakeslee; two daughters, Amy S. Caldwell of Wrightsville and Stacia L. Dodson of Philadelphia; two granddaughters; four brothers, Gary Geesey of York, John Geesey of Felton, Steve Geesey of Dover and William Geesey of Red Lion; and a sister, Judy Albright of Dover.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Robert Smoker, associate pastor of Susquehanna Grace Brethren Church in Wrightsville and the Rev. Joseph L. Fauth, pastor of Cal vary Bible Church in Wrightsville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Urban Hope Training Center, 204 Tioga St., Philadelphia 19134.
