Stella (Clemons) Byrd, age 90, of West Chester, Ohio passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and friends on November 19, 2012. She was born in Lambric, Kentucky on November 11, 1922 to Isom and Matilda Clemons.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Woodrow;
three sisters (Ruth, Della, and Leathy), five brothers (South, Charlie, Columbus, Jerry, and Farmer);a grandson, Bobby Hall;
and a son-in-law, Marion Hall.

She will be greatly missed by her children: William R. Byrd (Judy), Gail Wilhelm (Al), Helen Hope Byrd, Susan Hall, and Larry Byrd; her loving grandchildren: Tina Jones, Jeff Byrd, Joe Espelage, Jon Espelage, Marty Kaiser, Carol Highben, Jessica Byrd, Alex Byrd, Christian Byrd, and Michaela Byrd; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her niece, Patricia Keith and friend, Wanda Jean McCollum, both of whom provided many hours of loving care during her illness.

Stella worked for thirty years at The U.S. Playing Card Company in Norwood, Ohio, retiring in 1984. She was a member of The Presbyterian Church in Hamilton, Ohio.

Funeral service was at the Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd. (Rt. 42 north of Pisgah), West Chester, OH. Burial is in the Hagins Cemetery in Rousseau, Kentucky.
