WEESATCHE - Elsie Louise Baacke, 83, of Weesatche died Saturday, February 8, 2014. She was born March 6, 1930 in Goliad County, Texas to the late Willie C. and Louise Els Lude.
She married Hayden Baacke on September 11, 1949 in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Yorktown, Texas. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Goliad, Hermann Sons, and was a Post Office employee of Weesatche-1960-2001.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Hayden; daughters Patty (Allen) Kolodziejcyk of Yorktown and Peggy (V. C.) Cowey of Goliad. Sisters Elfie (Roman) Baacke of Yorktown, Rosie Karnei, Dorothy Lude and Nettie Schulze all of Weesatche. Sisters-in-law Maurine Lude of Victoria and Idell Lude of Yorktown. Grandchildren Shannon (Kenny) Kegebein, Gary(Amanda) Cowey and Nicole (Jarrod) Stepanski and great grandchildren Katelynn Kegebein, James Morgan Kegebein, Kaylynn Cowey, and Kassidy Cowey.
She is preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, brothers Edwin and David Lude and sister Bettie Lude.
Visitation will be 5-8 pm on Monday, February 10, 2014 at Massey Funeral Home in Yorktown. Funeral services will be 11 am on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Weesatche, Texas. Interment will follow at St. Andrew Lutheran Cemetery in Weesatche.
Active pallbearers will be Preston Franke Jr., Glenn Karnei, Garrett Lude, Clinton Baacke, Steven Schulze, Gerald Allison, and Paul Wauson. Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
