His death certificate said he was born in 1891 BUT the 1900 Census and his WWI Draft Registration say 1890 so that is what I am going with.
---
Commonwealth of Kentucky Death Certificate # 23123 year 1927 states that Robert Barr died in the City Hospital on Oct 31, 1927 in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY. That his wife was Katie Barr. He was a married white male aged 36 years, 5 months and 14 days. He was born May 17, 1891 in KY to father Will Barr born Alabama and mother Mary Batts born KY. He died of Delerium trembles. He was buried in Portland Cemetery.
---------
some information states tht his parents were William A. Barr and Mary A. Batts.
Interestingly Mary A. Batts was the daughter of Sarah Benjamin Jefferson and Andrew Batts AKA John Covington Morris who supposedly killed his uncle-leading him to change his name to Andrew Batts and causing utter chaos for his divorced wife, Sarah, to obtain a Civil War pension. There is apparently a 300 page widow's Civil War Pension out there with tons of information.
