David Disney Longtime Emory Valley Center Resident
On Nov. 16, 2012, David Disney, age 64, of Clinton, flew to heaven on wings of angels to be with his Lord and Savior. There to greet him is his father and mother, Dave C. and Geneva Disney; brothers, Carl, Frank, D. L., Henry Disney and C. L. Pounders; and sister, Kathleen Massengill.
David leaves behind his devoted sister and caregiver, Shirley Dameron and husband, Bryan; brothers, Jerry Disney and wife, Dixie, and Paul Pounders; sisters, Betty Nichols, Dortha Williams and husband, Bill, Joanna Gray, Alma Ivey and husband, Luther, and Ruth Holt; a host of nieces and nephews; a very special friend, Elizabeth "Libby" Buhl; and his housemates, Jeffery, Donnie, Fancy, Beverly and Pam with whom he has resided with at the Emory Valley Center Tiffin House for the past 15 years.
David's smile, laughter and love touched the hearts of everyone he came in contact with. Even though he is in a far better place, he will be greatly missed by those who loved and knew him.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Disney, Paul Pounders, Bryan Dameron, Randy Dameron, Matthew Dameron and Lee Nichols.
Family and friends may call at their convenience after noon on Monday, Nov. 19, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton.
A graveside service at 3:30 p.m. will be Tuesday, Nov. 20, at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton.
