She was born on May 13, 1922, in the town of Frog Creek to Joseph and Luella (Yeager) Denninger.
Loretta married Russell Coons on June 17, 1943. He preceded her in death on Dec. 16, 1979.
Loretta's family includes a daughter, Sharon (Harold) Smith, of Minong; a son, Lee (Eileen), of Minong; a stepdaughter, Shirley (Bill) Fye, of Minong; two sisters, Laura Ackley and Lucy Ann (Ken) Edwards, both of Minong; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Lou; three brothers, Andrew, Calvin, and Wilfred; and one step-grandchild, Lori.
Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30, at Brown Funeral Home in Minong.
A private burial was held at Greenwood Cemetery in Minong.
