Alice Fern Baker, their first child, was born on May 1, 1893. She married Cecil Floyd Lewis, known as Floyd, a son of John Anson and Odelia Ann (McMorton) Lewis of Jamestown, Indiana. Floyd lived in Pittsboro at the time of their marriage on May 30, 1914.
Soon after their marriage, Floyd and Alice Lewis moved to Indianapolis. They had three children: Their first child, Irene Evangeline, died in infancy. Their second child, John Milburn Lewis, named after both grandfathers, was born on March 19, 1917. He married Mildred Lucille Poland, daughter of Ralph and Mary Poland, who were residents of Hendricks County but are now deceased. ... Elsie Elizabeth, the third child of Floyd and Alice (Baker) Lewis, was born on July 4, 1920. She married Daniel Wesley Snyder on April 21, 1946.
