James Russell Moore, 74, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, in Houston. Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Byron Williamson officiating. Interment: Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Visitation: The family will receive friends 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday. James was born June 18, 1938, in Gonzales to Russell Leonard and Augusta Helena Fillip Moore. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Survivors: Sister, Elaine Moore Johnson; niece, Sandra G. Johnson Billhymer; nephew, Barry L. Johnson; great-nieces and great-nephews, Brendon L. Johnson, Brooke G. Johnson and Aiden A. Johnson; and cousins, Joyce Moore and husband, Matthew Comaitos, and their children, Amanda and Jessica, Dale Moore and wife, Patricia, and their children, Shane, Kody, Sara, Tori and Chase.
