John Logue, son of the late James Logue, died at Albuquerque, New Mexico, Tuesday, Nov. 12th. He was born in the town of Willow Springs in 1881, where he continued to make his home on the farm until grown to manhood. Since the Logue family moved to Darlington, deceased has been home very little, working continually as a railroad man and living at places most convenient for his headquarters.
Five years ago he was united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth Mallo of Osage City, Kansas. Two children were born to them, Jospeh, now four and Natalie a little more than one year old. Not long ago when Mr. Logue realized his health was failing, he moved to New Mexico, later to ARizona and then to Colorado. Six weeks ago he came to Darlington, during which time his father died. After a short stay here with his sister, he was obliged to leave his family who accompanied him, and go south planning to meet them some time in December. He had only arrived at Albuquerque a few days when he was stricken with pneumonia and died before any of his people could reach him.
The funeral was held from Holy Rosary church Monday morning and burial made in the Willow Springs Catholic cemetery. His wife and little children are left to suffer the loss of a good husband and father while his sister has the sympathy of many friends in her succession of sorrows.
