Craig A. Bradford, 34 of San Diego, CA entered into eternal rest after a short illness, Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.

Craig was born June 10, 1978 at Manhattan, KS to Dale and Julie (Burrows) Bradford.

Craig grew up in Riverton attending Riverton Schools from elementary thru high school. After graduating he continued his education in marketing and served as a fundraiser for the Democratic Party.

In 2009 Craig and Angelina were married in California. She survives of the Home.

Craig was a member of Galena Seventh Day Adventist Church for many years.

Craig volunteered weekly in feeding the homeless and where he was needed. He loved cats and dogs, and enjoyed fishing with family. He was a Denver Broncos and Chicago Cubs fan. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Craig will forever be missed by those who loved and knew him.

Craig is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Arlyn (Buzz) Bradford, and step-father Harry Bryant.

He is survived by his paternal grandmother Dorothy Bradford of Mt. Vernon, MO, and paternal grandparents Floyd and Nellie Burrows of Baxter Springs, KS; Father Dale Bradford of Mt. Vernon, MO; Mother Julie (Burrows) Lane of Miami, OK; wife Angelina Bradford of the home; two brothers Lonnie Bradford of San Diego, CA, and Ryan Bradford of Mt. Vernon, MO; one favorite nephew Payton Darnell Bradford of Crestline, KS, and many cousins, other family members, and cherished dear friend Traci Chafin.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Derfelt's Baxter Chapel. Pastor Travis Ford will officiate.

Burial will be at the Pleasant View Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at 12:30 p.m. until service time. Pallbearers for the service are: Lonnie Bradford, Ryan Bradford, Kip Burrows, Trevor Burrows, Luke Burrows, Collin Burrows, Dylan Neely, Duncan Neely and Joey Flynn.

In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Derfelt Funeral Home to help with expenses.

, age 61, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born September 20, 1953, in Larned, Kansas, the son of Arlyn “Buzz” and Dorothy (Law) Bradford.

Dale was a 1972 graduate of Holyrood High School in Holyrood, Kansas, and received his degree in welding from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas.

He was a US Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War on the USS Proteus (AS-19).

He was member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers and taught welding at Hutchinson Correctional Facility in Hutchinson, Kansas, and was of the Methodist faith.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his mother, Dorothy Bradford, of Mt. Vernon; two sons, Ryan Bradford and his wife, Angela, of Mt. Vernon and Lonnie Bradford and his wife, Traci, of San Diego, California; three grandchildren, Payton Bradford and Gabriel and Ezekial Hicks; one sister, Gayle Berry, of Mt. Vernon; one nephew, Jacob Berry, of Mt. Vernon; one niece, Aubrey Off and her husband, Kevin, and their daughter, Brielle, of Kansas City, Missouri; maternal grandmother, Mildred Law of Jetmore, Kansas.

His father, Arlyn “Buzz” Bradford, son, Craig Bradford, brother, Lonnie Bradford, maternal grandfather, George Law, and paternal grandparents, Israel and Edith Bradford preceded him in death.

A visitation will be held from 6:00–8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2015, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.

Funeral services under the direction of the Beckwith Funeral Home in Jetmore, Kansas, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at the United Methodist Church in Jetmore.

Burial will follow at the Fairmount Cemetery in Jetmore.

Crash at low water crossing kills man in Lawrence County

VERONA, Mo. - A man from Mount Vernon died Monday morning when his vehicle overturned into a creek at a low water crossing on a county road.

He was Dale Bradford, 61.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash was about 7:30 on Lawrence County Road 2190 about two-and-a-half miles north of Verona. The car went off the right side of the road and overturned.

Bradford died at the scene.
