Douglas Thomas Fields was born in Maysville, Kentucky on July 3, 1940 to Edith Owens Fields and Warner E. Fields Sr. He was called Home on November 3, 2012.

At an early age, Doug joined Bethel Baptist Church in Maysville, Kentucky, he later transferred his membership to Inspirational Baptist Church. Douglas was educated at Samuel Ach Junior High and graduated from Central High School and attended Indiana University on a gymnastic scholarship. Soon after, he served his country as a member of the United States Army.

Douglas worked for the City of Cincinnati in various positions retiring as a supervisor of the Meter Reading Department at Cincinnati Water Works. He also worked for H&R Block for 15 years and served in Collation of Black Trade Union (CBTU). He was a member of Cinco Credit Union Supervisor Board and President of the Bid Whist Card Club.

He was preceded in death by Margaret Fields, Marion Patterson and daughter, Michelle Fain.

He leaves to cherish his Life and Memory
his beloved companion, Linda D. Hill;
children, Peggy Burroughs, Linda Mason William), Lisa Fields, Kariem Haamid (Camile), Lando Patterson, Darryl Patterson, Derreck Patterson, Angela Patterson, Jonathan Patterson, Quinton Hill (Kimberly), Robert Davis and Quintetta Robinson;
a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren;
other relatives and friends.

Funeral service at Zion Baptist Church. Burial in Spring Grove Cemetery.
