Jack Worth Harkins, 83, of Seguin, passed away on Friday, Jan. 20.

Rosary was recited Monday, Jan. 23 at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Seguin, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. with Rev. Gregory J. Nevlud officiating. Interment with military honors under the auspices of the American Legion H.U. Wood Post 245 followed in St. James Catholic Cemetery.

Mr. Harkins was born on May 27, 1928 in Killeen to Worth and Velma Harkins. Mr. Harkins was a graduate of Seguin High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a lifelong member of St. James Catholic Church. He was Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and served as a grand knight. He loved reading, bowling, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Fanny Harkins; son, Jay Harkins; daughters, Debi Holz and husband Kyle, and Nancy Mercer and husband Doug; grandchildren, Bree Holz-Gonzales and husband Roger, and Ryan Holz; and great-granddaughter, Raelyn Gonzales.
