Heart Attack is Fatal to C.H. Adams
Death of Charles Homer Adams, 61-year old northern Humboldt county mining man, resulted from heart attack according to the verdict reached yesterday by a coroner's inquest which was held at 11 am at the Ruiz ranch. Adams died Saturday night at 11:45 o'clock at his ranch home in the Denio district in northern Humboldt county. The inquest was conducted by Coroner John Fransway of Winnemucca and the jury was composed of Fred Kerlee, L.H. Davey and Carl E. Thomsen. Witnesses were Floyd P. Haney who was with Adams at the time of his death and Martha Audrey Adams, his wife. It was the second attack Adams had suffered as he had a slight attack one week previous. A native of Canon City, Colorado, Adams was born January 21, 1881. He has resided in Humboldt county for a number of years and he and his brothers, Verne Adams of Reno were interested in the Homer Verne mine, a gold property located in the Pine Forest range, south of Denio. Survivors include his wife, a son, Glenn Adams, who is serving with the United States Coast Guard, and brother, Verne Adams who is with the OPA in Reno. The body was brought to Winnemucca yesterday afternoon to the Edna T. Eddy and son mortuary. Funeral services are pending. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Edna T. Eddy and son mortuary with Reverend George Forman of the Methodist church officiating. Interment will be in the Winnemucca cemetery.

Eddy and son mortuary with Reverend George Forman officiating. Interment will be in the Winnemucca Cemetery. Verne Adams, brother of the deceased, arrived here yesterday from Reno and Mrs. Verne Adams and son-in-law and daughter, Mrs. and Mrs. D.P. Herstine, son of the deceased who is serving with the Coast Guard, will arrive here tonight for the services. Carls Adams, a brother from Moscow, Idaho, will attend the last rites and Mrs. W.F. Frost, a daughter of Vallejo, California, arrived here yesterday with Verne Adams.

Final Rites for Charles H. Adams at Eddy Mortuary
Funeral services were conducted this afternoon at the Edna T. Eddy and son mortuary for Charles Homer Adams, well known Nevada mining man, who died Saturday night at his northern Humboldt county home. Reverend George W. Forman, of the Methodist church officiated at the last rites and interment was in the Winnemucca cemetery. The original discoverer of the Homer Bern mine in northern Humboldt county, Adams had followed mining for the great part of his life. He came to Nevada in 1896 to the Goldfield boom, going from there to Wonder, where he was active in mining. He later spent some time in Colorado, Arizona, and California but returned to Nevada with his family in 1925. Survivors are his wife, Martha A. Adams; two sons; Jack M. Adams, mining engineer of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Glenn H. Adams for the past four years a member of the US Coast Guard; and one daughter, Mrs. William F. Frost, of Vallejo, California. He also leaves three brothers, Verne L. of Reno, Claude W. Adams of Montrose, California and Hari S. Adams of Moscow, Idaho.
