All born in Minnesota, except Charles born in Michigan. Charles' father born in Canada and his mother born in France. Maud's parents born in Sweden. Charles worked as a steam fitter.

Listed in 1930 Census, Ramsey County, St. Paul, MN, age 17, at 546 Lexington Ave, with her father Charles B., 42, mother Maud L., 43, and siblings Orville L., 19, Sylvia M., 16, Ida E., 12, Inez I., 10, Vivian M., 8, Floyd E., 7, Eileen W., 4, and Marvin L., 2. All born in Minnesota, except Charles born in Michigan. Maud's parents born in Sweden. Charles worked as a laborer at an airport. Orville worked as a shipping clerk at a chicken hatchery. Charles first married at age 22, Maud at age 23.

Cora married Harold Burton on Aug 29, 1934 in Woodstock, IL. (husband's obituary names Chicago instead of Woodstock)

Listed in 1940 Census, McHenry County, Chemung, IL, age 28, with husband Harold, 27, daughter Judith, 4, and son Richard, 3. All born in IL, except Cora born in Minnesota. Harold worked as a dairy farmer. Lived close to Harold's brother, Seymour, 31.

Cora died at age 83. Se was buried in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Harvard, McHenry County, IL.

Cora M. Burton
HARVARD -- Cora M. Burton, 83, of Harvard died Sunday, Oct 22, 1995, at Harvard Community Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 10, 1912, in St. Peter, Minn., the daughter of Charles and Maud (Lindberg) Wheaton. On Aug 29, 1934, in Woodstock, she married Harold M. Burton.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Harvard, the Harvard Garden Club, White Oaks Birthday Club, Chemung Homemakers and Harvard Women of the Moose.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Burton of Harvard; three sons, Dick (Judy) Burton of Harvard, Larry (Lynne) Burton of Sharon, Wis., two daughters, Judy Schilthelm of Walworth and Darlene (Joe) Cools; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Orville and Lloyd Wheaton, both of St. Paul, Minn., and four sisters, Arliene McKay of St. Paul, Minn., Inez Foley of Yuma, Ariz., Ida Nash of Elgin and Sylvia Link of Ft. Wayne, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Vivian Puntney and Elvira Wheaton, and two brothers, Pete and Andrew Wheaton.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home in Harvard. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jeff Borgerson officiating. Burial will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
