HARVARD -- Cora M. Burton, 83, of Harvard died Sunday, Oct 22, 1995, at Harvard Community Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 10, 1912, in St. Peter, Minn., the daughter of Charles and Maud (Lindberg) Wheaton. On Aug 29, 1934, in Woodstock, she married Harold M. Burton.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Harvard, the Harvard Garden Club, White Oaks Birthday Club, Chemung Homemakers and Harvard Women of the Moose.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Burton of Harvard; three sons, Dick (Judy) Burton of Harvard, Larry (Lynne) Burton of Sharon, Wis., two daughters, Judy Schilthelm of Walworth and Darlene (Joe) Cools; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Orville and Lloyd Wheaton, both of St. Paul, Minn., and four sisters, Arliene McKay of St. Paul, Minn., Inez Foley of Yuma, Ariz., Ida Nash of Elgin and Sylvia Link of Ft. Wayne, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Vivian Puntney and Elvira Wheaton, and two brothers, Pete and Andrew Wheaton.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home in Harvard. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jeff Borgerson officiating. Burial will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Harvard Rescue Squad.
