TIMMONSVILLE- Lyn Michael Lawrence, 62, died at his residence Dec. 12, 2009. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Peniel Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be today (Monday) from 6 to 8 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, Florence.
Mr. Lawrence was born in Lake City, SC, the son of the late Louie B.,Sr. and Myrlene (Hancock) Lawrence. He was a member of Peniel Baptist Church. He attended Francis Marion University. He was a member of Oak Grove Masonic Lodge #378, a Shriner and was a licensed Pilot.
Mr. Lawrence retired as Chief Engineer with the Fire Department in the City of Florence.
Survivors are three brothers, Louie B. (Jenny) Lawrence, Jr., Gerald (Melba) Lawrence all of Timmonsville; Berwyn (Leanna) Lawrence, Wilmington, NC; two nieces, Jennifer (Gary) Severance, Charmon (Kevin) Shuler; three nephews, Lance (Lisa) Lawrence, Kevin Lawrence, Bryan (Megan) Lawrence; four great nieces, Anna Grace Severance, MaKayla Lawrence, Natalie Lawrence, Alia Lawrence; three great nephews, Zachary Shuler, Adam Shuler and Luke Severance; a good friend Jean Middleton and many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by a niece Kimberly Lawrence.
