Mrs Vitula G. Andres, 75, of 1016 NW 39, longtime city music teacher, died Monday in a local rest home. She had been ill since suffering a stroke in October.
A music teacher for more than 34 years, Mrs Andres operated a private studio in her home and another in Capitol Hill. She was born in Mt Carmel, IL, and in 1902 moved to Shawnee. Six years later she made her home in El Reno. In 1923 she moved to Oklahoma City. Mrs Andres was a member of the Poetry Club, and attended Crown Heights Christian Church.
She is survived by a son, Paul, of Houston; a daughter, Mrs Charles Pease, Chicago; three sisters, Mrs Ethel Steele, of Fort Worth; Mrs Ralph L. Hadley, of Long Beach; and Mrs Lenore Liddle, Ontario, CA; and a brother, W. R. Poole, 725 NW 20.
