Aunt Frances became midwife to many of the families on Neveilles Prairie. The first baby she delivered had been Ralph Greenleaf Lundy, he was born in 1867. The photo on this memorial is the birth certificate that she signed for a baby she delivered in 1917. She signed under doctor or midwife.

Aunt Frances was the informant on her son Walter's death certificate in 1928. She stated her maiden name was Estes and she did not know where she was born.
Shown born June 1844-1845. Census records show Father born in Africa and mother born in Georgia. In the 1900 census it shows her the mother of 3 children with 1 child living in 1900.

Aunt Frances' grave is not marked. I feel she is buried next to her husband's grave, that is marked with a stone.

Source: TXDC Informant was Jim Jones from Lovelady. He stated she was about 90 years old, and died from old age. She was a widow and he did not where she was born, only she was retired.
