airhaven – Amelia “Kay” (Souza) Tripp, 84, widow of Ralph W. Tripp, Jr., of Alden Road, Fairhaven, formerly of Westport died Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at Alden Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness.

She was born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Marianno and Georgianna (Medeiros) Souza, and had resided in Westport for most of her life. She was a member of Bliss Four Corners Congregational Church of Tiverton, RI where she served as Deaconess.

Mrs. Tripp was very active in the American Red Cross during WWII. She was a member of the Ladies Aide Society of Bliss Four Corners Congregational Church.

She is survived by two sons; a foster daughter; three sisters; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Mary White, Irene Vieira, Ann Souza, Marianno Souza, Joseph Souza, Manuel Souza and Arthur Souza.

Services to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday, May 28, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the Bliss Four Corners Congregational Church, Tiverton, RI. Interment in Maple Grove Cemetery, Westport.
