Morton H. Bauer, Jr., 85, of New Cumberland, PA, and formerly of Timonium, MD, died Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at Homeland Center, Harrisburg, PA.
He retired as a Civil Engineer and Project Manager, consulting for various companies in the Baltimore area; a Navy veteran; a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Cumberland, The Chartier Club of New Cumberland and the American Legion. Born in Baltimore, MD, on July 18, 1927, he was the son of the late Morton H., Sr. and Dora Martin Bauer. He was the widower of Christine Sawicki Bauer.
Surviving are his wife, Marjorie E. Dittmar Bauer; two daughters, Christie B. "Cindy" Liebert (Bruce) of Towson, MD, and Susan B. Liebert (Michael) of Timonium, MD; two step sons, William C. Dittmar (Karen) of Aberdeen, MD, and Kirk P. Dittmar (Tammi) of Raleigh, NC; two step daughters, Cristy Lee Pfeiffer (Ray) of Tampa, FL, and Susan Ann Dittmar of Prescott, AZ; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; four step grandchildren.
Burial will be held in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, 200 East Padonia Road, Timonium, MD, at 2:30 PM on Saturday, November 10th. Memorial services will be held at 3 PM Sunday, November 25th at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, New Cumberland, with Pastor Elaine M. Dent officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 530 Bridge Street, New Cumberland, PA 17070.
