The Oklahoman, Sunday, Jan 12, 1936:
Edward H. Stanton, inspector for the city engineer, died Saturday in a city hospital after an illness of three weeks. He was 55 years old. Death was attributed to heart disease. Arrangements at the Watts & McAtee Funeral Home were delayed Saturday night pending receipt of word from relatives in New York.

Stanton, employed by the city engineering department for 15 years, came to Oklahoma City 33 years ago from New York. He was an official of the Paper and Paperhangers Union for 18 years.

Survivors include his wife, and a daughter, Miss Margaret Stanton, both of the home address, 1315 NE 15th St.

Wife: Augusta Krueger Stanton, b. 1875 MN. Her parents were Emanuel & Wilheilmena Krueger

Foster Daughter: Lillian Margaret Stanton Putnam #71633944 (Rose Hill)
