Esther Bohm, 99, of Jackson, formerly of Waldorf, died Sept. 26, 2006, at Jackson Good Samaritan Center in Jackson.

Services were held Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Danville Township, rural Minnesota Lake, with Rev. Michael Mathews officiating.

Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home of Wells handled the funeral arrangements.

Esther Groskreutz was born Nov. 25, 1906, to C. August and Anna (Tesch) Groskreutz in Vivian Township of Waseca County. She lived in Vivian Township until moving to Jackson in 2002.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church.

In 1934, Esther married Elmer A. Bohm in Wells.

Esther was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Danville Township, and enjoyed baking and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; seven brothers: Carl, William, August, Frank, Alfred, Arthur and Richard Groskreutz; a sister, Clara Abbe; and a grandson, Raymond Bohm Jr.

Survivors include her son, Raymond Bohm of Ely; a daughter, Elaine (LeRoy) Larson of Windom; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Ada Stendel of Owatonna; and a sister-in-law, Hazel Bohm of Mt. Lake.
