Funeral services for Richard H. Groskreutz, 74, of Wells, who died Saturday, Oct. 8 at Wells Hospital, were held Tuesday, Oct. 11 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Vivian Township, the Rev. Arthur Aadland officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Visitation was held at the Heitner Funeral Home in Wells on Monday afternoon and evening and at the church one hour before services.

Mr. Groskreutz was born Sept. 5, 1909 in Vivian Township to C. August and Anna (Tesch) Groskreutz. He lived in Vivian Township until moving into Wells one year ago.

He married Delores Beske on Nov. 27, 1953 at First Lutheran Church in Wells.

Mr. Groskreutz was a farmer, and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Delores; his sons Russell and his wife Jeanne of rural Wells, Dennis of Mankato and Warren of Wells; two sisters, Mrs. Esther Bohm of Waldorf and Mrs. Ada Stendel of Owatonna; and three brothers, August, Frank, and Arthur, all of Wells.--Waseca County News, Oct. 13, 1983
