Katherine was born in Neuenstadtle, Bohemia, Kingdom of Austria, the daughter of Joseph and Josephine Weidresmuller Rohm. She immigrated in 1881. On June 21, 1887 she married Carl F. Bendix.

Mrs. Carl F. Bendix
Mrs. Katherine Rohm Bendix 73, last surviving member of the Unter Uns, died Wednesday night, Sept. 27,1939, at her home 1209 Neilson, where she had lived for the past 52 years.
Mrs. Bendix was born in Austria, Apr.22,1866 and came to the United States and to Utica when she was 15 years old. She was married to Carl F. Bendix in 1887 and that year they started living at 1209 Neilson. They celebrated their Golden anniversary there two years ago.
Mrs. Bendix was a member of First Moravian Church and it's Ladies Aid Society; the Unter Uns, organized 43 years ago and in which she had held offices for many years, and the WBA.
She leaves; a daughter, Mrs. George Schaub, a son Carl H.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother Joseph Rohm, Mt. Vernon, and several nephews and nieces.
The funeral will be at 2:30 P. M. Saturday in the home.

Funeral of Mrs. Bendix
The funeral of Mrs. Katherine Rohm was held from the home 1503 Stuben Street this morning. The Rev. William Henry Fluck of the First Moravian Church officiating. The floral tributes included the following: Lena Reusswig (can't read next sentence). Moravian Church, executive managers, boys and girls of Hart Food Stores at Rochester, employees of Morris & Co. of Rochester. The bearers were William Wolfe, Carl Bendix, Jr, Theadore Edgar and Albert and Frank Reusswig. Internment was in the family plot in Forest Hill Cemetery.
