Carl H. Bendix Sr, 81, of 1209 Neilson St. died today in Eden Park Nursing home. He graduated from Utica Free Academy and the Utica School of Commerce. For many years he managed the Bremer marketing Co.
Mr. Bendix as a member of Grace Episcopal Church and its choir for many years. He was a member of the Utica Maennerchor for 56 years and was the club's financial secretary for 29 years. He was a charter member of the Fraternal Shuffleboard League of Utica He also was a member of the Odd Fellows.
He married Ethel Lillian Tindall who died in 1960. He leaves a son, Carl W. Bendix, Jr., Utica; a daughter, Mrs. Herbert ( Marion ) Yoeman, Utica.
The funeral will be at 9:30 Monday from Grace Episcopal Church with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Sunday in the Elmwood T. Day Funeral Home.
