Hanes--Robert Clyde Hanes of 2660 G. Street, Springfield passed away Dec. 13, 1962 at his home. He was born Oct. 29, 1886 in Hickman Co., Tenn. He was united in marriage to Annie L. Puckett August 30, 1908 in Hickman County, Tennessee. He had been a resident of this community and the state for the past 19 years.
He is survived by his wife, Annie; six sons: Robert of Litte Lot, Tenn., Clyde and Mitchell, both of Springfield; Bernard of Columbia, Tenn.; Aubrey of Springfield; Edwin of the U.S.M.C. stationed on the U.S.S. Enterprise; three daughters: Mrs. Era Good of Eugene, Mrs. Audrey Welch of Junction City; Mrs. Mildred Hassell of Little Lot, Tenn.; twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a half brother, Connor Hanes of Hickman County, Tenn.; a half sister, Mrs Katherine Ratcliff of Dallas, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.
A son, Loy M. Hanes, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were be held Monday, December 17, 1962. Internment in Lane Memorial Gardens.
